What a wonderful little compact. It's always so special when it belonged to someone you love too. I love the tarnished look on the pitchers too. Have a wonderful day. Blessings, Marcia
What a beautiful keepsake! I bet the smell of powder brings back fond memories. I remember my mom and aunt wearing aunts and gloves and pulling out their compacts to powder their nose and check their lipstick.
Hi Julie I love your mum's compact!! It brings back so many memories for me.. my mum used the same thing... I often see them at thrift stores and think I will have to bring one home next time... Such wonderful memories... thanks for you lovely comments .. you are too sweet... xx Julie
How lovely is this compact..it is such a surprise to open the wooden container and find this jewel of silver inside!! The pitchers are really great...love them! xOxO Nerina
What lovely lovely items. The patina is perfect on your silver. I caved a few times and actually polished some pieces ~ they just didn't look right anymore. They are treasures just the way they are.
I have a beautiful daughter and granddaughter. I live in SW Oklahoma and am single and retired. My home is old, so I am constantly updating and redecorating. I seem to paint all the time. The atmosphere and comfort of a home has always been my passion.

The compact is a treasure to have. I love the tarnished pitchers...I have a weakness for silver pitchers, teapots and coffeepots.
