Home At Last

Thank You All for being such good friends and well wishers.  I love, love love you all.

I was in the hospital for 17 days.  Came home last Friday.  Needless to say how wonderful my bed felt!!!

I have PT coming to my home.  Thank God for that.  No cast.  The surgeon put a rod from the top of my leg to my knee and attached it with pins.  18 staples.  So glad there was no cast.  I get along pretty good with the walker.  Just a little update for now.  How to start bloggings again next week.  I sure have missed everyone.... julie.  Got to go take a nap.

Hello, my name is Clea and I'm Julie's daughter. She wanted me to post this to inform you all that she broke her femur bone last Wednesday and has been in the hospital since then. the last few days have been bad for her, but she's improving.  I know this blog is her passion and she misses it so much. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers through this recovery time.

Have a blessed week

A Tiny Area In My House That I Really Love...

This floor area once housed a floor furnace.  Acually it is still there.  We couldn't get it to come out so we stuffed it down under the house after disconnecting the gas line.

As you can see in the following photos, I had fun with the floor after it was filled in.  It has been several years
since I did this and I still love it.  Hope you like it to.

 This is Boardwalk Bragfest Wednesday.

Be sure and  and see what else there is to brag about.

Just click on the button to the right.  Have a great
   day.  Thanks Jan...
The design goes around the entire dining room.
You can see where the area of the floor furnace was filled in.  I have gotten use to
it and don't really notice.  Plus it adds to the charm...julie

Girly Favorites...

I absolutely love vintage millinery flowers and tulle...tulle...tulle...

When I go to estate sales the first thing I have my eye out for are millinery supplies.  No matter the condition, they are mine.  Sometime it just takes my breath. to discover something like a small little flower that has been tossed aside.

It's spring so in my area the estates sales will begin.  The thrift shops around here are not so great, but we do have two Goodwill stores.
 So pretty and sweet...
                                     Looks like a dream...
I would love to have seen this entire dress, although the imagination
may be sweeter...julie

Green Literally.....Fun at Boardwalk Bragfest

I love wreaths and I love to change with seasons.  This particular wreath is really for Christmas.  But it has
such a great presence in a room, that I just took all the Christmas off and added a little green and white
for spring.  It is so much prettier in person.  The white flowers really stand out and the grennery is jut wild.
I am very pleased with it for spring and summer.  I find it hard to find wreaths I really like anymore.  They
all seem to look alike.  This one is pleasing to the eye.
Before, which is actually after Christmas beauty was cleared and
redone with green and white for spring and summer...
Have a great day everyone.  Thanks Jan...

Winter's Last Hurrah!!!

That's what the front page of the paper said this morning.  Yesterday was the first day of spring and today is the second day of spring.
Great Joy!!!

Now here in Oklahoma I got up Saturaday morning  to a snow covered ground and it snowed all day and long  into the night.  This mornings paper said we got 4". Tuesday the forcast is 70 degrees.  Great news.

Then around 5:30 this evening the electricity just went out.  We seemed to be the only one on our block with no power.  So I called the emergency number and they took all my info.  For 2 hours my daughter, my grandaughter and myself were getting on each other's nerves to say the least!!  So we retreated back into my bedroom.  I put a coat on and covered up on the sofa.  They got in my bed and got all snuggy.  All of a sudden I closed my eyes, through my head back and said quite loudly...Oh Lord Please turn our lights back on.  In less than a minute in silence they just came back on .  Well, can you beat that.

I have really had the wintertime blues, but I think this is going to be a great week.

Happy, Happy Spring...julie
